Gemini Exporter by Jenny

Follow the steps below to install the Chrome extension and complete your weekly AI report.

Steps 1 – 5 — click to expand
  1. Download the extension

    Download from Google Drive

    On the Google Drive page, click the Download button (left) to save the ZIP file.

  2. Extract the ZIP

    Right-click the downloaded ZIP and choose Extract All. Pick a permanent folder you won't accidentally delete.

  3. Open Chrome Extensions

    Copy and paste the address below into Chrome's address bar and press Enter:

    chrome://extensions/

  4. Enable Developer mode

    In the top-right corner of the Extensions page, flip the Developer mode toggle on.

  5. Load the extension

    Click Load unpacked (top-left), then select the folder you extracted in step 2.

    You should see Gemini Exporter by Jenny appear in your extensions list.

  1. Open Gemini

    Go to gemini.google.com and sign in if needed.

  2. Expand the chat list

    Make sure the sidebar on the left showing your recent chats is open. If it is collapsed, click the menu icon to expand it. The extension reads this list to find your chats.

  3. Open the extension

    Click the Gemini Exporter by Jenny icon in your Chrome toolbar. A side panel will open on the right.

  4. Fill in your details

    In the side panel, enter:

    • Your name
    • Check the week commencing (Mon) and through (Fri) dates are correct
    • Tick Hide chats already copied to Sheets if you want to skip previously exported chats
    • Tick Include chats with no sidebar date (Gemini has no dates, so this must be selected)
  5. Scan chats

    Click the Scan Chats button. The extension will read the sidebar and find chats for that week.

  6. Review and remove irrelevant chats

    A list of found chats appears. Uncheck any personal or irrelevant ones so they are not included in the export.

  7. Save the JSON file

    Click Save JSON. A file will download to your computer (usually into your Downloads folder).

  8. Upload the JSON to Gemini

    Open a brand-new Gemini chat. Drag the JSON file from your Downloads folder into the Gemini chat window (or use the attachment/upload button).

  9. Copy the Gemini prompt

    Back in the extension side panel, click Copy Gemini Prompt. This copies a special prompt to your clipboard.

  10. Paste prompt and copy Gemini's reply

    Paste the prompt into the Gemini chat (next to the uploaded JSON) and send it. Once Gemini replies, select and copy the entire reply.

  11. Paste the reply into the extension

    In the extension side panel, find the text area under Step 3 — Paste into Sheets. Paste Gemini's reply there.

    Do not paste Gemini's reply directly into your spreadsheet. It often uses formatting that puts everything into one cell. The extension cleans this up for you.
  12. Copy the cleaned data

    Click Copy cleaned TSV for Sheets. The cleaned data is now on your clipboard, ready for the spreadsheet.

  13. Paste into the AI tracker

    Open the AI tracker spreadsheet: Open AI Tracker

    Click the first empty row in column A, then paste (Ctrl+V on Windows, Cmd+V on Mac). Each value should land in its own cell.

  14. Double-check your entry

    Scroll through the new row in the spreadsheet and make sure every column looks right. You can also glance at the Gemini conversation to confirm the data matches.
